Job Description

Job title:              Volunteer Team Administrator – 21 hours per week                   

Salary:                 £15,000 pro rata

Department:       N Ireland                                                  

Directorate:         Local Engagement NI                    

Location:              Harvester House, 4-8 Adelaide Street, Belfast BT2 8GA                                  

Job purpose: 

To support the Volunteer team and Head of Services in carrying out all activities associated with the volunteering programme and NI Services.

 

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • To provide admin support to the Volunteer team and Head of Services
  • To maintain all necessary and relevant paper and electronic information systems necessary to meet the needs of the Volunteer team and Head of Services
  • To support the Volunteer team to achieve volunteer recruitment targets
  • To ensure that all volunteer recruitment enquiries and applications are correctly processed
  • To provide full administration support to the Volunteer team and Head of Services including booking venues, mailing information and keeping all necessary records
  • To prepare and circulate agendas, minutes, reports and information for any meetings
  • To take minutes at meetings, as requested
  • To assist in all aspects of the organisation of training and events including invitations, coordinating responses, booking venues and catering and preparing training packs
  • To assist in maintaining records of volunteer hours
  • To complete any other duties and responsibilities of the post at all times in compliance with all of Action on Hearing Loss’s policies, but especially Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety
  • Demonstrate commitment to and participation in all training and development opportunities that would allow progress within current role as well as allow progress within the organization
