Traveller Health Support Worker

19 hours per week

Fixed Term until 31st March 2018

£9 per hour

Belfast

Job Purpose:

To work with Travellers and relevant health service providers to implement effective health programmes in greater Belfast.

To increase the health and wellbeing of the Traveller Community in Greater Belfast.

Essential Criteria:

• 6 months paid / unpaid experience working with Travellers
• Knowledge and understanding of Traveller culture
• Knowledge of the immediate Health needs of the Traveller community
• Working in a flexible way including working occasional evenings or weekends, if required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Desirable Criteria:

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C and above (or equivalent)
• Current full UK driving licence and access to a car, or other form of transport
