R.A.F.T (Restorative Action Following the Troubles)

Main Purpose of the job:

Operation and Coordination of the R.A.F.T. in-house Transition Mentoring & Community Outreach Initiative designed to provide an increasingly holistic package of services to victims/survivors of the troubles.

Summary of Duties

 

  • Security of the building - Opening and locking, checking the premises before and after R.A..F.T. activities including Complementary Therapies, Counselling/ Psychotherapy, focus groups, meetings etc;
  • Receiving enquiries, tutors, visitors as appropriate
  • Providing reception and hospitality as directed;
  • To see to the upkeep of the Centre and update displays;
  • To manage the switchboard;
  • To log incoming and outgoing post and distribute to relevant personnel;
  • To keep the office diary & therapists diaries up to date as a valuable record;
  • To assist with the collection and collation of  evaluation data along with that from therapists/tutors;
  • To maintain relationships with R.A.F.T. personnel;
  • To keep manual records of all activities, visitors etc;
  • To assist in the organisation of conferences, seminars, meetings including attendance and note-taking when required;
  • To set up rooms, seating & refreshments for in- house meetings as required;
  • To assist with the collection and delivery of communications to and from Management Committee.
  • To assist with the purchase goods and supplies as requested for hospitality & upkeep of premises;
  • To undertake general office duties as directed by line-manager;
  • To be responsible for checking stock and supplies;
  • To assist with promotional aspects of the project;
  • To work flexibly to suit the needs of the project
  • Carry out any other duties which may be reasonably requested by MC;
