Young Enterprise are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to co-ordinate and deliver a range of Young Enterprise NI business education programmes in the South East area.

Young Enterprise, the leading business education charity helps more than 90,000 young people aged 4-25 each year to understand how business works, delivering its programmes in schools and colleges throughout the country, supported by a network of volunteers from the world of business.

The Training Officer will deliver enterprise training programmes in schools in South East area including Bangor, Newtownards, Downpatrick and Lisburn, and other areas as required, and will be based in the Belfast office.

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

Essential criteria:

 

  • Third level education e.g. HND, degree and minimum of one year relevant work experience in training design and delivery; or three years relevant work experience in training design and delivery

 

  • Experience of working with young people (either in a voluntary or employed capacity)

 

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills; to include presentation delivery and report writing

 

  • IT literate – please demonstrate with examples:  proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office applications; aptitude in the use of iPads; willingness to develop skills and apply learning

 

  • Access to a car/own transport facilities and where applicable, a current valid driving licence and willing to travel across Northern Ireland as required.

 

Desirable criteria:

 

  • Experience of volunteer management, training and recruitment

 

  • Experience of working in the business and/or education sector in Northern Ireland and knowledge of these networks

 

  • Recognised training or facilitation qualification.
