Training Instructor

Everything we do here at Praxis Care centres around making a difference to the lives of people living with learning disabilities, mental ill health, acquired brain injury or dementia and to do this, we have a team of exceptional care and support workers.  We are the largest care providing charity in Northern Ireland but also have large operations across Republic of Ireland, England and Isle of Man employing over 1400 staff.

We currently have the following vacancy within the Central Office:

TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

PERMANENT, FULL TIME

Lisburn Road, Belfast

Salary: £17,452 - £25,065 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for you to build your experience within a rapid growing organisation.  You will be responsible for organising and facilitating staff development and training as an integral part of service delivery.  You will contribute to the development of innovative, cost effective models of training responsive to organisational requirements and the needs of service users and staff.  If you have excellent communication skills and an excellent creative and analytical approach to problem solving then we want to hear from you.

To be considered for this role you must meet the essential criteria listed below:

• Professional qualification in Social Work, First Level Nursing (RNLD, RMN, RGN), Occupational Therapy AND 1 year’s paid employment working with adults/children with learning disabilities or mental ill health

  OR NVQ Level IV in Health & Social Care/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care AND 2 year’s paid employment working with adults/children with learning disabilities or mental ill health

  OR 3 year’s paid employment working with adults/children with learning disabilities or mental ill health

• Registered with the relevant registration body

• Willingness to obtain recognised qualification as MVA Trainer

• Willingness to obtain qualification as First Aid and Manual Handling Trainer
