Stepping Stones NI was established in 1996 to provide adults with learning difficulties / disabilities with the opportunity to access accredited training towards gaining employment. The company is comprised of local business people and parents and carers of people with learning difficulties /disabilities.
TRAINER
Reporting to the Training Coordinator, the Trainer will be responsible for the effective delivery and coordination of a range of vocational training programmes in the Lisburn and Castlereagh areas. Working with training and employment service staff, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of comprehensive and vocational training programmes that meet the needs of each individual learner. The post holder will provide trainees with learning disabilities and difficulties with high quality vocational training to enable them to secure a job in their chosen field and to progress and develop in it.
The successful person will have:- GCSE English and Maths at C grade or above (or equivalent)
- A certificate in Teaching Level 4 or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in training delivery
- Relevant experience in the assessment of training programme delivery
- Be proficient in the use of MS Office (including Excel and Access)
- Have a positive 'can do' attitude and a professional but approachable manner
- A full Driving Licence
