RNIB Northern Ireland and the Big Lottery Fund are looking for a Peer Support Co-ordinator to organise and assist in the facilitation and provision of the peer support element of the Looking Forward Project. Salary for this post is £16,700 (pro rata)

The Looking Forward Project provides practical and emotional support to blind or partially sighted people (aged 60 plus) at greatest risk of isolation or exclusion. The programme is free to access and offers a programme of a minimum of six face-to-face counselling sessions and ongoing peer support to help a person come to terms with losing their vision.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining twelve new peer support groups for blind and partially sighted older people throughout Northern Ireland so strong organisational and communication skills are essential in this role.

You will also have knowledge of project co-ordination and team working as you will work with other teams and volunteers within RNIB NI to ensure the success of the project.
