Team Leader salary:                          £8.61 - £12.36 per hour, £17,452 - £25,065 per annum, pro rata, applicants

                                                                with qualifications as defined in the personnel specification will commence at

                                                                £21,213 per annum, pro rata.

Relief Team Leader salary:               £10.46 per hour.

Where the role requires sleep ins, a minimum additional payment of £32.85 per night applies.

Position Summary

To provide appropriate high quality care and support to Service Users in supportive living environment in a way that respects their dignity and rights, and enables them to maximise their independence and extend the right to choices in all areas of their lives.

Responsibilities and Duties

To co-ordinate the work of and provide supervision and support to other care staff under the direction of the Line Manager

Under the direction of the Line Manager to facilitate the reintegration of the service users into the community, to participate in programmes which encourage improvement in everyday living skills of individual service users and to provide practical assistance to service users in everyday living matters.

To assist with the organisation and preparation of review panel meetings

To take responsibility for the day to day running of the Scheme in the absence of the Line Manager.

The Team Leader will have responsibilities for Health and Safety.

To monitor service users ongoing dealings with social services and statutory bodies and provide assistance/ advocacy where necessary.

Minimum Requirements

2 years’ paid employment experience in a care environment or Professional Qualification in Social Work or First or Second Level Nursing or Occupational Therapy

Full valid driving licence on application and access to own transport on appointment

Candidates should be registered, or applying for registration, with the NI Social Care Council.

Experience in planning or implementing support packages

Ability to demonstrate organisational skills & good time management

Ability to demonstrate to ability to work effectively when managing difficult situations

Flexible approach to work – to include evenings and weekends and additional sleep-in duties
