The Team Leader will mentor and supervise the Support Team and will work on the  rota on an as required basis that includes unsocial hours and weekends.

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

As part of the Living Options services, the Team Leader will enable clients who have learning disabilities and associated conditions, to pursue a valued lifestyle by supporting them with personal care as well as with social, emotional, spiritual and daily activity needs.

 

The Team Leader will mentor and supervise the Support Team and will work on the  rota on an as required basis that includes unsocial hours and weekends.

 

Hours:                 37 hours per week

Contract:           Permanent

Location:           Supported living services in Johnston Way, Lisburn

Salary:                3 point incremental scale starting at £18,085 per annum pro rata

 

Essential Criteria:                  

  • ·         Numerate and literate with ability to set up and maintain accurate records, handle clients finances, and compile reports.   
  • ·         NVQ 3 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent or willing to attain a Level 3 QCF qualification.
  • ·         Can demonstrate previous experience of supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • ·         Two years’ previous experience in a human services setting providing support/care.
  • ·         Experience of working in partnership with service users, parents, health care professionals, carers, advocates and other agencies
  • ·         Good working knowledge of IT, specifically Microsoft Word & Outlook.

Desirable Criteria:                 

  • ·         Recognised qualification e.g. nursing / social work
  • ·         QCF5 Health & Social Care
  • ·         Experience of working in a Supported Living environment
  • ·         Experience of supervising staff and co-ordinating provision of support and personal care
  • ·         Can demonstrate previous experience of supporting people who have displayed behaviours that significantly challenge.
