The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff members:

We are delivering Supported Living Services, providing an enabling environment and Positive Behaviour Support.
The Support Worker is part of the team whose function is to meet the practical, physical, social and emotional needs of individuals who have learning disabilities and associated needs receiving services within the Supported Living Scheme.
Through a key worker system, he/she will also have involvement in the designing of individual programmes of support and be responsible for delivering the accommodation support and care packages.
The Support Worker will ensure their own actions and behaviour complies with Cedar’s policies and procedures in addition to statutory regulations and quality standards.
Position
Hours: 35 hours per week including weekends
Salary: £7.65 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Location: Supported Living Services in Belfast (primary location in West Belfast)
Essential:
- · Numeracy & literacy (English language) skills
- · Registered or agreeable to applying for registration with the N. Ireland Social Care Council.
- · Available to work shifts as required
- · Demonstrable evidence of 6 months experience of providing care / support for individuals within the last 2 years.
Desirable:
- · NVQ 2 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent.
- Can demonstrate previous experience of supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Can demonstrate previous experience of supporting people who have displayed behaviours that significantly challenge.
- Can demonstrate previous experience of working in a Supported Living context.
- Maths and English GCSE at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
