Support Worker - Housing First, Belfast

SUPPORT WORKER – HOUSING FIRST, NELSON ST, BELFAST

Permanent Post - HSS17/11

35 Hours per week (Full Time)

£16,230 per annum

The Housing First Service primarily aims to permanently house individuals with chronic addictions and provides comprehensive intensive support to enable these individuals to sustain their own tenancies within the community through a case management approach.

Education / Experience

• Applicants should have one years’ recent paid full-time experience of working with people who have complex needs: (alcohol, drugs, mental health issues etc,) ideally in an outreach or tenancy sustainment capacity.  
• It is desirable that the applicant holds a Certificate/Diploma in Community, Health or Social Science based subject, or equivalent.

Northern Ireland Social Care Council Registration – NISCC

As of 1 April 2017, all Social Care Workers are required to be registered with NISCC to be permitted to work in Northern Ireland.   This registration is required for all support staff working for Depaul.

Successful candidates will be appointed following satisfactory Enhanced Access NI and other pre-employment checks.
