The Ely Centre has been providing support services for victims and survivors, their families and carers throughout the Fermanagh and South Tyrone area for over twenty five years, currently we have a number of sessional opportunities to expand our bank of sessional workers.

 

 Sessional Counsellors

The Ely Centre maintains a bank of sessional counsellors who may be called upon to support in the delivery of our counselling services, training and research as needed and as funding is available.  We welcome applications from individuals who are keen to be added to this bank.  There is an ongoing process for recruitment of these posts and applications can be submitted at any time throughout the year.

 

The Psychological and Counselling service is specifically aimed at individuals & families who have been directly affected by the NI Troubles.

 

Principle duties of post:

To provide individual / group /family counselling to clients with mild to moderate mental health problems( steps 1- step 3)

To implement therapeutic service plan conducive to client need.

To ensure that clients receive prompt and professional communication at all times.

To maintain files, case notes etc in adherence with organisation policies on data protection.

To complete pre and post evaluative assessment (CORE)

To work to a code of ethics and practice appropriate to relevant professional body.

Essential Criteria:

1. Accredited with a professional body appropriate to therapeutic modality, for example UKCP, ICP, IACP, BABCP, BACP .

2. Have a minimum of two years supervised experience post qualification (300 Hours + ) of delivering therapy for groups and individuals in a trauma related area.

3. Undertake regular clinical supervision with an approved Supervisor.

 

Community Tutors/Facilitators

The work of tutors/facilitators will vary but is specifically aimed at service delivery to individuals who have been directly affected by the NI Troubles.

                                                                                                                      

Principle duties of post: Tutor/Facilitator (IT, Health, Arts & Crafts etc.)

1. Deliver series of structured sessions/lessons as directed by organisation

2. Support and encourage learners at all times

3. Manage administration in accordance with requirements pertaining to roles and responsibilities.

 

Essential Criteria

1. Possession of relevant teaching qualification were applicable

2. Demonstrable experience in area of expertise (where no formal qualification is evident)

3. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a community setting at least 1 of which must have been spent working with victims and survivors of conflict

 

For posts 1 We would request that applicants forward a current CV (including details of a referee who may be contacted), Photocopies of all relevant qualifications / accreditation and all required applicant documentation.

 

For posts 3 we would request that applicants forward a current CV (including details of a referee who may be contacted), evidence of all relevant qualifications / accreditation and a supporting statement.

 

These posts will involve ‘regulated activity’ under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order 2007. The Ely Centre will be required to undertake an ‘Enhanced Disclosure of Criminal Background ‘check and posts will only be approved when the check is returned successfully.
