We are looking for an experienced and well organised administrator to provide efficient and effective administrative support for the successful running of services within the Northern Ireland area.

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

Training for Informal Caregivers is a new service that the Alzheimer’s Society provides across North, South, West and Belfast Health and Social Care Boards. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of trainers and provide training and information to people who are supporting someone living with dementia.

We are looking for an experienced and well organised administrator to provide efficient and effective administrative support for the successful running of services within the Northern Ireland area. As a Service Administrator you will be dealing appropriately with routine administrative tasks, maintaining efficient information systems and a variety of duties aimed at the delivery of effective administrative support. Part of this role will include publicising and promoting our services, events and fundraising activities.

The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be responding to enquiries made by personal callers, email, letter or telephone or referring these on where necessary. You will also liaising with a variety of colleagues in your local team and throughout the wider Society, so the ability to work collaboratively is desirable.

You must be extremely well organised with good time management. You will possess GCSE level in English and Math’s (or equivalent), have good IT skills (including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint) and experience of developing and managing manual filing systems. An understanding of the need for client confidentiality is essential and experience of working with voluntary and statutory organisations would be an advantage.
