£7.55 per hour

This is a great opportunity to join our expanding Ambulance Support (AS) Team and use your use your excellent driving and people skills to help make a real difference to lives of people in crisis. The AS Team provides a range of services from patient transport to non-urgent ambulance support.

 Your primary interest must be in providing high quality care which respects and protects the dignity of the patient. You will ensure that all patients are safely assisted to their destinations following their stay in hospital. People are at the heart of our services and we are committed to provide safe working practices and providing the best outcomes for patients and service users

 You will have a reasonable level of physical fitness required so that the driver/escort can assist patients with mobility problems, push wheelchairs up ramps and use moving and handling equipment including (as part of a team) a carry chair to carry/move patients, MIDAS would be an advantage but training will be given. It is essential that you hold a C/C1 Drivers Licence. You will be a minimum of 21 years old or older and have held your licence for at least 2 years due to insurance purposes. Shift patterns including weekend work will be essential to this post along with possible night shifts.

As the post holder will be carrying out regulated work with protected adults they will be required to have an ACCESS NI check.
