The Registered Manager will be responsible for the operational management and quality assurance of Twisel Lodge Residential Home, supporting and caring for people living with complex needs and learning disability

The Registered Manager will be responsible for the operational management and quality assurance of Twisel Lodge Residential Home, supporting and caring for people living with complex needs and learning disability
Hours: 37 hours per week (plus on call)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Twisel Lodge, Holywood (other locations if operational need arises and within competency)
Salary: 3 point incremental scale starting on £28,485 per annum
Essential:
Applicants must have the appropriate combination of qualification, registration and experience to be a registered Manager of a Domiciliary Care Service as set out below:
- (a) a professional social work qualification and registered on the appropriate part of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) register, without condition;
OR
- (b) a first level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC register;
OR
- (c) allied health professions registered with the Health Professions Council.
OR
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults’ Management) Wales and Northern Ireland and registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment on the appropriate part of the NISCC register, without condition.
And
For those with a Social Work / Nursing or PAMS qualification
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the provision/co-ordination of support services for individuals with disability or other vulnerable groups
For those who hold a relevant QCF Level 5 qualification
- A minimum of five years practice experience in any health and social care setting with one or more of the service user groups supported by the agency that must include at least two years relevant experience in an operational management position.
Applicants must also be able to demonstrate knowledge of and expertise in:
- The ability to lead a team and work as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Proficiency of using standard office IT applications such as Word, Excel, the internet and email
- Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment*
*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable application who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post
Desirable:
- Recognised management qualification.
- Recognised Coaching/Mentoring qualification
- Experience of managing staff
- Experience of developing timely reports and responses to operational and strategic objectives
- Experience of leading on compliance with Residential Home Regulations
- Experience of managing ISO compliance
