The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

 

Peripatetic Team Leader                                                    REF: 17/137/PTL-LO/WEB

 

Due to growth and Development the Cedar Foundation now wish to recruit Peripatetic Team Leaders to cover Supported Living Services within the North Lisburn & Greater Belfast areas. The Peripatetic Team Leader post holder will primarily be based within a specific service but will work across all services providing cover as required. Travel expenses between services will be reimbursed. The rota of the post holder may be subject to change at short notice and may include working at night.

 

Providing leadership and support to their teams this role will be primarily responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality person centred care and support  to all service users. They will provide direct support to service users and to staff to ensure best practice is promoted and person centred care and support is evident and will uphold the organisation’s values of commitment, excellence, diversity, accountability and respect.

 

Hours:                 37.5 hours per week

Contract:           Permanent

Location:           Supported living services (primary location Johnston way/Dympna)

Salary:                3-point incremental scale commencing £18,330

 

Essential Criteria:                  

  • ·         Numerate and literate with ability to set up and maintain accurate records, handle clients finances, and compile reports.   
  • ·         NVQ 3 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent or willing to attain a Level 3 QCF qualification.
  • ·         Registered or applying for registration with the N. Ireland Social Care Council 
  • ·         Can demonstrate previous experience of supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • ·         Two years’ previous experience in a human services setting providing support/care.
  • ·         Experience of working in partnership with service users, parents, health care professionals, carers, advocates and other agencies
  • ·         Good working knowledge of IT, specifically Microsoft Word & Outlook.

Desirable Criteria:                 

  • ·         Recognised qualification e.g. nursing / social work
  • ·         QCF5 Health & Social Care
  • ·         Experience of working in a Supported Living environment
  • ·         Experience of supervising staff and co-ordinating provision of support and personal care
  • ·         Can demonstrate previous experience of supporting people who have displayed behaviours that significantly challenge
  • ·         Can demonstrate previous experience of working in a Supported Living context
