Outreach Youth Worker

We are looking for a talented and inspirational youth worker to help facilitate the Youth engagement Project (YEP) alongside our partners Bytes and Lisburn PSP.

This project is focussed on the engagement of "at risk" marginalised young people (aged 11-25) and integrating them into personal development programmes in Lisburn City Council from both Loyalist/Protestant and Republican/catholic communities.

The Outreach worker will assist the YEP Project Coordinator in the recruitment of at-risk young people to the project through outreach and detached youth work.

The post is 30 hours per week - funded until December 2013 (pending approval).  The Outreach post is based in Youth initiative's Project Centre in the Colin Area.

Salary : 17-19k pa pro rata depending on qualifications and experience

The Special EU Programmes Body is the Managing Authority for the European Union's PEACE III Programme.

Funding sought through Lisburn - Castlereagh Peace III Partnership via Lisburn City Council and Castlereagh Borough Council.
