Operations Manager (Initially Part-Time) - The Book Reserve CIC

We wish to recruit for a newly created position of Operations Manager at the Book Reserve CIC. 

Salary: £28-£30K (pro rata) 

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (flexible hours considered).

Key Essential Criteria includes:

• Strong leadership skills including ability to drive and manage a dynamic business.
• Strong and demonstrable experience in retail (including online) management and/or operations/administration management - minimum 2-3 years.
• Knowledge of issues facing disadvantaged communities, especially young people (including ex-offenders).
• Strong track record in building relationships and networks and achieving results within those networks.
• Experience of financial management including day to day accounting and budget management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to explain complex ideas in a simple manner.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience of leading and motivating teams and staff to achieve ambitious results.
• Clean driving license.

Desirable Criteria

• Up to date knowledge of developments in social enterprise and innovation (especially young people and rehabilitation of ex-offenders).
• Experience of writing tenders and funding applications.
• Knowledge of experience in catering and hospitality management.
