Mental Health, Welfare and Money Adviser

Job purpose

To provide holistic welfare and money advice to clients who are experiencing both poor mental health and financial difficulties. We are looking for individuals who are experts in either welfare advice or debt advice, and are willing to continuously develop in the area where training needs are identified.

You will use your existing knowledge and expertise to identify and address a range of issues and provide debt, financial capability, welfare advice and support services to people with mental health issues.

You will take on case work when within your remit on both welfare benefits and debt and financial capability issues. You will develop your knowledge and experience of mental health and social care to set your advice in a meaningful context. You will help clients identify the barriers that are hindering progress in dealing with their financial difficulties and you will provide help, support and advice to overcome these barriers.
