Legal Support Project - Project Officer ( LSP – PO 03/17)  

17.5 hours p/w - fixed term to 31 December 2017.  Based in Belfast

This post holder will assist to develop and sustain the Legal Support Project at Law Centre NI. The Legal Support Project trains and provides volunteer legal representatives for clients needing assistance at social security tribunals. The post holder will be responsible for the support of the volunteers engaged in the Legal Support Project and prepare and present cases to social security tribunals.

Candidates will be required to (i) have a degree in law (min 2.2 hons) and at least  two years experience  of providing advice and tribunal representation  in social security law or

(ii) be an adviser with at least  three years experience of providing advice and tribunal representation  in social security law.

Salary: £25,440 (pro rata) plus pension contribution.
