In order to help achieve their mission Stepping Stones NI is currently looking for a suitable person to join their team as Job Coach.
The Job Coach will be responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities and learning difficulties in their work experience placements at the Garden Café Downpatrick and at other work experience placements with employers in the community. The Job Coach will also source new work placement opportunities for people with learning disabilities and provide support to achieve volunteering and employment opportunities working in conjunction with Stepping Stones Employment Service.
The successful person will have:
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- Experience and knowledge of how to support people with a learning disability and or learning difficulty.
- Experience of working with and supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office including spreadsheets & databases.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
- A Full Driving License
Desirable Criteria:
- Degree or equivalent.
- Foundation Diploma in Supported Employment.
- Experience in working and liaising with employers in the local business community.
- Experience in working in catering and hospitality .
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
- Essential Food Hygienic Certificate.
