As Information Team Leader you’ll be responsible for leading and managing the team of information staff and volunteers as part of the new “UK Hear to Inform and Connect” project.

This is a three-year project across London and South East England, Northern Ireland and Scotland which is aiming to support older people to better manage their hearing loss, through face-to-face information services delivered by volunteers.

The Northern Ireland information service provides practical information about hearing loss to people who are deaf, hard of hearing or have tinnitus, to their friends and family, as well as to community groups and professionals who support people with hearing loss.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for the project in Northern Ireland, as well as for delivering information activities including talks and information stands. A key focus of the role will involve ensuring that all staff and volunteers are developed, trained and motivated to provide the highest quality outreach information, to support successful delivery of the project objectives.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience of managing and/or working with volunteers along with excellent organisation and communication skills and a genuine interest in working with people who are deaf, hard of hearing or who have tinnitus.

This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
