The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial payments and will provide first line advice to managers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Invoice processing and payment
- Processing staff and volunteer expenses including the management of an audit process
- Processing the monthly payroll in conjunction with the HR department including HRMC, pension and childcare voucher payments
- Weekly and monthly reconciliations including bank, credit card and mobile phone bills
- Manage the organisation-wide petty cash system including top ups, reconciliation and audit process
- Resolving queries and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring that financial policies and procedures are adhered to
- Developing and communicating procedures which ensure consistency across a range of systems including Purchase Orders
- Full compliance with all financial, HR and other corporate responsibilities as appropriate to the post
- Ensure that all Victim Support NI policies, particularly those relating to Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities are applied

Qualifications:
Either “A” level standard with minimum 2 years’ experience of working in a Finance function
Or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Finance function
IATI qualification or part-qualified
Skills and Experience
A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a finance function to include:
- Preparation and maintenance of a nominal ledger
- Reconciliation of complex, key control accounts
- Payroll processing
Proven ability to manipulate data to produce meaningful information
Proven analytical & numerical skills
Proven ability to manage a range of competing priorities and to work to deadlines
Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel
