Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid provides a range of support and accommodation services for women and children experiencing domestic violence.

Permanent post South Belfast

 

The role of the Family Worker is to provide a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for women and their children living in refuge.

 

You will do this by:

-       Welcoming and integrating women and their children into the refuge        

-       Being aware of and effectively responding to the emotional and practical needs of families when they arrive at refuge and throughout their stay

-       Providing on-going support and information through individual and group work

-       Supporting women and children in their transition from refuge to the community

 

You will need to be flexible and able to work as part of the rota to include mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, as well as on-call to meet the needs of the refuge.

 

Salary scale: Points 17-24 NJC scale  

Starting salary £17,547 per annum (under review)
