To assist adults with learning/other disabilities in career planning, the assessment of support needs, job finding and the provision of job coaching and support to enable the achievement and maintenance of meaningful employment

Triangle’s Progression to Employment Service operates enterprise focused activities for adults with learning disabilities as part of their preparation for employment. The following fixed term post has become available:

EMPLOYMENT OFFICER (EO/NA/09/17)

Fixed term to cover maternity leave initially to 31st March 2018 and onwards thereafter subject to continuation of funding

 Location:                      Newtownabbey

Hours:                          Full time – 37 hours

Salary:                         £21,962 – £25,951 per annum 

Essential Criteria

Applicants will be:

  • A fully qualified Social Worker or Occupational Therapist

OR

  • Have a 3rd level qualification in a related discipline (Supported Employment/Teaching/Training/Careers/HR) AND a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with people with learning disabilities

OR

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting individuals with disability/complex needs in their progression to employment

 Desirable Criteria

  • Foundation Diploma/Diploma in Supported Employment
  • Experience of working in fieldwork/employment setting for adults with learning disabilities

Due to the nature of these roles, the successful candidates will be subject to Enhanced Access Northern Ireland (ANI) checks
