The post will involve working directly with EBCDA’s Health Development Director and health staff, and across all sectors for the benefit of East Belfast communities to increase community involvement in promoting good mental health and suicide prevention.

The post is funded by the Public Health Agency to 31st March 2021. The postholder will work directly with EBCDA’s Health Development Director and health staff, and across all sectors for the benefit of East Belfast communities. 

Job Summary
To increase community involvement in promoting good mental health and suicide prevention and in communities within East Belfast. The post holder will work as part of a team to support the achievement and full implementation of the East Belfast Health Framework which contains the following 5 themes:

- Healthy Hearts
- Healthy Minds
- Healthy Bodies
- Healthy Relationships
- Healthy Neighbourhoods.
The post holder will support all five themes as needed but will have a specific responsibility for promoting emotional well being, suicide prevention and building emotional resilience under the Healthy Minds theme.

Time Commitment
The working week consists of 35 hours and one hour for lunch. Given the nature of Community Development work and volunteers working within various communities the Emotional Wellbeing Development Coordinator will be expected to work outside these hours from time to time. Time in lieu will be available for such hours worked.

Remuneration

• Salary £26,869,68 pa  (8.5% employers pension contribution)
