The Development Officer will assist RDC in its delivery of the International Fund for Ireland’s Personal Youth Development Programme (PYDP).
The purpose and objective of the Development Officer post is to assist in the delivery of PYDP across urban and rural areas within Northern Ireland which will include project development /planning, mentoring, facilitation, project implementation, financial management, monitoring and evaluation.
The Development Officer’s detailed activities will be agreed with his/ her line manager through an agreed forward work plan which will include output targets and identified time scales. The broad activities of the post will include:
1.Facilitating Expression of Interest calls and questions;
2.Facilitation and support to applicant groups to enable project development;
3.Robust review and assessment of project proposals against the programme aims and objectives, including provision of recommendations.
4Completion of recommendation reports and papers for the Review Group and Designated Board Members meetings of the International Fund for Ireland
5.Assist with preparation of Letter of Offers for approved projects
6.Manage a portfolio of projects and assisting communities with implementation
7.Review of agreed project outcomes and facilitation of reporting requirementsMonitoring of Letter of Offer outputs and requirements including managing data and analysis of outputs
8.To complete updates and progress reports on a monthly basis
9.Budget management of projects including review of grant claims
10.Development and facilitation of programme activities such as meetings, workshops and events which develop and promote personal youth development and good relations for participants
11.To research best practice in the implementation and management of good relations activities and youth development
12.To work alongside other staff to maximise the sharing of information and promotion of learning from delivery
13.To assist in the development of resource/support materials and training
14.Promoting the development of Good Relations and supporting groups to actively participate in the Good Relations element of the programme including the encouragement of joint training, networking and sharing of best practice within and between participants
15.Evaluating outcomes and assisting in the continuing development of the Programme
