Alzheimer's Society is the leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. Dementia affects over 800,000 people in the UK alone and numbers continue to grow.
Maternity cover until 30/09/2015 (approximately)
We are looking for an organised and creative person to provide an information and signposting service direct to people with dementia and their carers in Omagh and surrounding areas, facilitating Carer Support Groups, Dementia Cafes and Information Programmes.
This post requires you to have excellent communication and IT skills; an understanding of person centred approach to the the needs of people with dementia. Possess a relevant NVQ Lever 3 (or equivalent).
An ability to travel independently around the area is essential as you will be working in a range of community settings. Experience of working with volunteers will be an advatage. Due to the nature of the post, a satisfactory disclosure from Access NI will be requred before an offer of employment can be confirmed.
