The overall purpose of this job is to deliver the day to day ‘customer facing’ service of a credit union.
Location – Ballymena
Contract type- permanent Part time
Salary - £8.28 per hour
Hours of work 12-15 per week (generally 12.30pm -3.30pm but not limited to these hours)
Main activities/tasks
Be prepared when required to facilitate the opening of the main office through the use of the recognised ‘spare key’ sign out procedure.
Customer facing telling duties as set out in the companies Collection Procedures Policy, namely ensuring members needs are prioritised at all times
Other transactions such as the input of Standing Orders and Direct Debits process (when appropriately trained)
Process new membership forms, and completed and passed loan application forms (when appropriately trained)
Help members complete loans forms (when appropriately trained)
End of day reconciliation procedures, ensuring till under your control is accurately balanced post end of shift
Ensure that members are properly informed of their rights and responsibilities within the Credit Union
Use of ‘soft skills’ to ‘market’ all business products/services
Light cleaning duties to maintain clean and tidy appearance of individual workspace and the workplace as a whole
Participate in any training required by both governing bodies and the Credit Union itself.
Implement new knowledge and skills as required
Special Requirements
The job holder will be expected, when required, to be flexible in their work pattern and to attend, on a voluntary basis, all properly constituted business meetings, when required, alongside the volunteers who support the work of the Credit Union.

GCSE Maths or equivalent
GCSE English Language or equivalent
Experience
Previous ‘customer facing’ experience
Previous Customer Service experience in an FCA regulated environment
Knowledge & skill
Sound knowledge and understanding of Excel
Sound knowledge and understanding of Word
Sound knowledge and understanding of PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively.
