Lisnaskea-based South East Fermanagh Foundation (SEFF) are seeking to recruit a team of Therapists who will provide complementary therapies for victims/survivors of the 'Troubles' in rolling out its’ service covering the 2017-2020 period.

Lisnaskea-based South East Fermanagh Foundation (SEFF) are seeking to recruit a team of Therapists who will provide complementary therapies for victims/survivors of Terrorism and ‘other Troubles related criminal violence’ in rolling out its’ service covering the 2017-2020 period.

Position:

To provide Complementary Therapies over 2017/2020 as follows across the following areas:

Year 1 (01/07/2017 - 31/03/2018)

SEFF, Lisnaskea: 400 sessions (hrly sessions)

Position 1: Swedish Massage (125 sessions)

Position 2: Reflexology (100 sessions)

Position 3: Kinesiology (40 sessions)

Position 4: Aromatherapy (60 sessions)

Position 5: Hopi Ear Candle (45 sessions)

Position 6: Indian Head Massage (30 sessions)

 

MUVE Project, Cookstown: 75 sessions (hrly sessions)

Position 7: Swedish Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy (75 sessions)

 

Out of the Shadows Group, Richhill: 50 hrs (hrly sessions)

Position 8: Swedish Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy (50 sessions)

 

South Down Action for Healing Wounds, Rathfriland: 40 hrs (hrly sessions)

Position 9: Swedish Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy (40 sessions)

 

Year 2 (01/04/2018 - 31/03/2019)

Position 1: Swedish Massage (170 sessions)

Position 2: Reflexology (130 sessions)

Position 3: Kinesiology (60 sessions)

Position 4: Aromatherapy (90 sessions)

The service should run on nominated days (to be mutually agreed) at SEFF’s Manderwood base, Lisnaskea and in the partner group offices as listed above.

Requirements of Post:

 

  1. Practitioners must be a member of a professional body - Professional bodies must be registered with:

General Regulatory Council of Complementary Therapies (GRCCT)

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

Health Professions Council (HPC)

 

2. Practitioners should be subject to regular supervision

 

The Officer appointed is responsible for costs associated with his/her own insurance, travel, tax and other related contributions and required offline supervision.

Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ experience working with victims and survivors (in the ‘Troubles’ context) responding to trauma related conditions and ailments.

It would also be advantageous if the applicant had experience of the MYMOPS monitoring system for measuring impact of Complementary Therapies upon service users.

The role demands the highest levels of professionalism and observance of SEFF’s strict Confidentiality and Data Protection Policies and Procedures.
