POST:                                   Community Fundraising Manager

SALARY:                              NJC Points 33 – 37, £28,692 - £31,786 per annum

DEPARTMENT:                    Income & Generation

HOURS OF WORK:             

35 hours per week. A flexi-time system is in operation and reasonable hours outside of this will be requried to fulfil the duties of this postiion (some evening and weekend work).

LOCATION:                          

Central Office, Belfast

JOB PURPOSE:

The Community Fundraising Manager will support the Head of Fundraising in the delivery of Simon Community NI's fundraising strategy.  The post-holder will identify, initiate and build relationships with prospective business partners throughout Northern Ireland as well as maintain and futher develop exisiting partnerships.

The overall objective is to maximise the income and beneifts from these partnerships, utiliising a vartiety of innovative and tried and tested fundraising methods tailored to the needs of each partner, in a manner that is mutually beneficial.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent third level qualification in Business Development, Marketing, Fundraising, PR, Communications or other related discipline.

Skills/Experience:

  • At least three years recent experience in a senior fundraising role.

  • Proven track record of exceeding targets in a fundraising environment.

  • Demonstrable experience of building and sustaining relationships with key audiences.

  • Experience of managing a CRM fundraising database, e.g. Raiser’s Edge, and using the database to produce reports measuring performance against targets.

  • Experience of initiating, planning and marketing new activities and taking them through to successful completion.

  • Proven team player who can develop excellent internal team relationships.

  • Experience and understanding of working within the voluntary and statutory sectors in Northern Ireland.

  • Experience of budget and project management.

  • Ability to manage workloads and conflicting priorities to meet targets and deadlines and provide an effective customer driven service.

  • Full, current, clean driving licence, access to private transport or ability  to meet the requirements of the post in full.

  • Ability to understand financial information and evidence of budget management skills.
