Carrickfergus Community Forum wish to appoint a full time Community Development Worker for Sunnylands & Greenisland 35 hours per week. This is a fixed term post until 31st March 2017.Salary £20,930
The Community Development Worker post is a fixed term contract up to 31 March 2017. The post is funded by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive Small Pockets of Deprivation Fund. At this time there is no extension for the post beyond this date.
The key purpose of this post is to enhance the programmes and activities for local residents in Sunnylands and Greenisland. The postholder will have the following roles and responsibilities; Development Role, Liaison Role, Training Role, Finance/Sourcing Funding Opportunities, Public Relations/Publicity, Administrative Role and any other duties as deemed necessary by the coordinator.
This post is 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Given the nature of Community Development work and volunteers working within various communities the Community Development Worker will be expected to work outside these hours from time to time. Time off in lieu will be available for such hours worked.
