Childcare Assistant - Maternity Cover

LORAG is seeking to recruit a childcare assistant for Maternity Cover for a fixed period of 9 months. The successful applicant will assist the Childcare Supervisor in implementing a stimulating and varied programme of activities for children aged 2 – 4 years, either within a group setting or on a one-to-one basis. 

The Lower Ormeau Residents Action Group (LORAG) was formed in 1987 to support the residents ofLower Ormeau.  Initially set up to address many social problems in the area, the organisation has grown substantially and is now recognised as one of the leading community development organisations in theSouth Belfast area. LORAG manages Shaftesbury Community and recreation centre and delivers a wide range of projects including Community cohesion, health, youth and Neets. Our children and family services provides a varied programme for children and parents including: 

- 2-4 years First Start Play programme 

-P1 - P7 afterschools programme 

-Developmental programmes for children 

-Family support home visit programmes and parenting programmes for parents with children aged 4-18 years old 

- 1-1 mentoring support for children aged 4-18 years old 

-Weekly parent and toddler sessions
