Centre Assistant (Evenings and Weekends)

An opportunity has arisen for a Centre Assistant to join our busy team at The Donkey Assisted Therapy Centre, Belfast, providing support during evenings and weekends.

The primary function is to ensure the safety and security of the premises and donkeys at all times. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the centre and its equipment, adhering to Health and Safety and COSHH regulations. Possessing excellent communication skills, you will be friendly and courteous to visitors to the centre, and assist with delivering information talks and grooming interaction sessions to visiting evening groups.

Experience of working with equines and children with additional needs is essential, as is a full valid driving licence.

This is a part-time, permanent contract, working 11 hours per week, Mondays and Tuesdays 16.00 - 22.00 and overnight – contract hours. You will stay at the centre on alternate Saturdays and Sundays 16.30 - 22.00 and overnight – these will be paid as additional hours. Accommodation is provided and you will be contactable by telephone at all times in case of an emergency.
