The role of a Business Development Manager with Homecare Independent Living is to develop and implement a strategy to sustain and grow market share in the health and social care sector, across the island of Ireland.

General Responsibilities

• Promote effective communication
• Ensure you always represent the company in the best light
• Present business development training and mentoring to other business leaders to ensure a consistent marketing message
• Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities.
• Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company’s performance
• Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion
• Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
• Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services and distribution channels
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in income
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
• Promote Homecare services and enhance existing relationships
• Work with IT staff, Finance staff and operations staff to ensure the needs of each tender is met.

Personal Development

• Maintain professional knowledge and competence on both company policies and regulatory standards
• Attend training courses and updates as deemed necessary
• Seek out personal development opportunities and discuss fulfillment
