MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
To assist the Business Services Manager with the Strategic Development of the Business Services Department through effective business and programme planning
Duties include:
To organise and co-ordinate existing programmes as outlined by the Business Services Manager and reporting on the same to the Business Services Manager.
Delivery of business training and the writing of business plans for and with clients.
To initiate/assist with the research and development of new programmes
To potentially manage new business ventures
To manage and co-ordinate new programmes successfully sourced.
To liaise with the Belfast business community, community groups, social enterprises, small businesses throughout the greater Belfast area, ensuring a positive and ongoing relationship and continuing to build links with the wider community.
To initiate new operational procedures with regard to the Regional Start Initiative (formally Business Start Programme) and to oversee the management of same.
To implement and oversee the development of an ‘information library’ in terms of providing support/advice to business start-up and business development.
Contribute to the promotion of the organisation through representation of relevant events and on appropriate committees and programmes. To continue to create effective networking opportunities.
To oversee the management and co-ordination of internal communications of the Company in line with company policy and under the guidance of the Business Services Manager.
To liaise with the Managers when necessary and to complete any other duties as may be deemed appropriate by the Business Services Manager.
This position would ideally suit someone with experience in delivery in the Go For It programme (now the Regional Start Initiative) and exploring enterprise programmes.
Salary Grade: £20,000 - £23,000
Plus: 6% Pension Contribution; Performance Related Pay (bonus); Private health care
