Polish Community Centre Cooltura and Youth Initiatives are inviting applications for the post of 

Bi-lingual Youth Worker

The Polish Community Centre Cooltura Worker based at Youth Club Kameleon will be responsible for the preparation and recruitment of minority ethnic young people to the Project. The Bi-lingual Youth Worker will do contact work in the local Polish community and through associated projects.

The Crosslinks and Kameleon Programme seeks to establish a positive alternative youth environment for young people from East and West Belfast and Polish Communitie that generates social development and community responsibility among participants.  The Bi-lingual Youth Worker will prioritise pre-recruitment and post-recruitment contact to keep young people connected to the Crosslinks Programme and Kameleon Youth Club. The Bi-lingual Youth Worker is responsible for working with volunteers in the planning, preparing, organising, and running of the Kameleon events and activities and in the ongoing informal education and mentoring work of the Project. He or she is also responsible to develop the creative arts element of the Crosslinks Programme and recruiting tutors for the modules.  

 

 

The post is 20 -24 hours per week - funded through June 2014

 Salary range between £17,500 - £19,500 (pro rata)
