Mencap Northern Ireland have a vacancy for a Full-time Assistant Service manager in our Derry/Londonderry service. 

This is a great opportunity to enhance your skills and experience supporting the Service Manager with the smooth running of the service by undertaking agreed management tasks.  In addition to undertaking managerial tasks you would also work alongside the support workers and act as a role model, demonstrating good practice to other members of the team.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who:

  • Is motivated and committed to getting results
  • Has strong organisational skills and time keeping
  • Will be an advocate for people with a learning disability
  • Is approachable and able to support their team

You will be working in the care sector with people with autism and/or who have behaviours that challenge and you will be supported by specialist bespoke training in advance to fully meet the needs of the individual.  You should be competent in using IT.
