Salary: £7.89 per hour
Working Hours: 15 hours per week

Job Summary:
For services which accommodate clients who require catering facilities the role of catering staff is essential. The Assistant Cook has a vital role to play, especially in the absence of a Cook. You will work with the catering team to ensure that the service meets all contractual and legislative requirements, especially in respect of health and safety regulations. The Assistant Cook must recognise standards and cost and prepare and present appetising and nutritional food.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining clean and hygienic catering facilities and service
• Experience Of working effectively as part of a team
• Ensure current health and safety and environmental health and hygiene standards and other appropriate regulations and procedures are maintained, (e.g. BFH / COSHH)
• Help prepare, cook and present food to recognised standards and costs
• Ancillary duties associated with the catering facility as requested line manager
• Ensure examples of the meals and beverages available are displayed together with their prices
• Work well under pressure in busy catering service and whilst maintaining good customer services.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

• Food and Hygiene Certificate
