As Area Fundraising Manager for Northern Ireland you'll be part of our ambition to inspire millions to get involved in reaching and improving the lives of people affected by cancer. This role requires someone with a strong strategic mindset to drive and deliver income in line with our UK strategy. A diverse and forward thinking charity, we have one of the largest and most successful fundraising teams in the sector, but - with the challenge of supporting the four million people living with cancer by 2030 – it’s essential we further that success and meet challenging fundraising targets to expand our vital work.

The successful candidate will use their excellent communication and relationship building skills to focus on building lasting support from individuals, companies, and the media. Whether your experience has been gained in the charity or corporate sector, it’s essential you can demonstrate an impressive track record of delivering financial targets and the ability to lead and inspire others. You’ll be a flexible self-starter and credible leader with the ambition and determination to motivate a team to exceed on targets.

There is substantial requirement for cross-organisational working to draw on skills and knowledge available throughout Macmillan. It’s essential you demonstrate strong networking, team-building and influencing skills to ensure your team deliver the greatest value from existing relationships and build a strong new business pipeline.

Macmillan’s Area Fundraising Managers are home-workers who travel extensively within the defined geographical area for their role. You must have a full UK driving licence at the time of application and the work will also require some unsocial and out of hours working. A car or car allowance is provided. There will be a requirement for flexible working to support evening and weekend events: you will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.
