Apprenticeship NI Youth Work Level 2 and 3

People 1st

People 1st are currently offering Level 2 and 3 apprenticeships in Youth Work. Gain a work based qualification for new or existing staff aged between 18 - 24 years old and working 21 hours or more per week.

The Apprenticeship NI programme is funded by Department for Economies and European Social Fund. 

For Current or Potential Apprentice

As an apprentice you will be a new or existing employee, in a Northern Ireland-based company, working with experienced staff to learn and develop your skills.

An apprentice receives ‘off-the-job’ training, usually on a day-release basis with People 1st, to work towards achieving Level 2 or 3 in Youth Work and Essential Skills qualifications (reading, writing, maths and computers).

For Employers

If you want to take on an apprentice or improve the skills of your employees to help your business work better, the Apprenticeships programme could be for you.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be aged 18 - 24
  • You must be permanently contracted to work at least 21 hours per week, or have an offer of employment that meets these terms.
