The Corrymeela Community is seeking submissions of interest from suitably qualified individuals to deliver the production management of a three day festival in Summer 2015.

The Corrymeela Community is seeking submissions of interest from suitably qualified individuals to deliver the production management of a three day festival in Summer 2015.

 The role will require the individual to report to the Head of Hospitality and Facilities,  and work closely with the Festivals Creative Director and other staff as necessary.

 The role will oversee the delivery of all technical aspects of the festival including

 Delivery of the project within budget, on schedule and in line with key objectives;

  • Compliance with licensing and health & safety requirements including noise regulation, traffic control, crowd control and maintenance of environmental health standards;
  • Site preparation –including legal signage, emergency equipment, PPE ;
  • Site set-up and de-rig across Corrymeela site
  • Liaising with contracting suppliers;
  • Liaising with participating organisations, artists and businesses
  • Arranging other facilities, e.g. marquees, catering, toilets, first aid, car parking or police traffic control
  • Contribute to volunteer training and information sessions before the event.
  • Manage staff and volunteer schedules during Aperture including last minute changes and no-shows.
  • Liaising with the Festival organising committee as necessary.

It is estimated this would take around 5-6 weeks work in total including the festival weekend, with a  maximum budget of £3750 allocated for the delivery. (£750 of this is earmarked for the 3 Area Managers required for the festival @£250 each which the production manager will recruit)

All submissions will be judged on the following criteria

 

Essential Requirements       Pass/Fail

1 Public Liability Insurance of at least £5 Million pounds. We will require a copy of your current certificates.

2 Evidence of having carried out this role for events involving 1000+ participants

 

Desirable Criteria      (Criteria 1 marked out of 20, Criteria 2 Marked out of 10.)       

 1 Experience of working on Creative Arts Festivals involving multiple events happening simultaneously across an extensive site.

 2 Experience of working with Government bodies, Councils and Voluntary Groups in the delivery of a range of events.

 The Aperture Festival will take place at the Corrymeela Centre in Ballycastle Friday 31st July – Sunday 2nd August 2015 with site setup from Monday 27th July.
