We are inviting applications for

Early Years Assistants

Based in our Afterschools Club

Posts available:

2x P/T Permanent Posts working 25 hrs. per week between 1pm-6pm M-F

Start Date: ASAP

Hourly rate of pay:

18-20 years old: £5.60 rising to £5.75 on successful completion of probationary period; 21 years & over: £6.50 rising to £6.65 on successful completion of probation period

Main Purpose of Job:

To assist in the day-to-day organisation and running of the After School Club.

Required Minimum Education:

NVQ Level II Early Years Care and Education or equivalent

Pre-requisites

Clear Access NI disclosure certificate

Required Minimum Work Experience:

1 year’s practical experience working with 4-11 year olds

Working knowledge of organising quality play activities

Evidence of working as part of a team

Knowledge of current Childcare Legislation

An understanding of child development and the importance of parental involvement
