The coordinator will be responsible for USDT advice services effective and efficient management: in line with USDT’s strategic plan targets, quality standards and legislation.

Operational Duties

  • To report to the deputy CEO on the review and monitoring of the service in line with agreed targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and the production of statistical and other reports.

  • Ensure adequate resourcing of the advice service at all times and in line with clients’ needs.

  • Liaise with the Senior Management Team on meeting targets.

  • Work flexibly and collaboratively across the organisation, cooperating with all relevant staff to ensure the service’s smooth operation and delivery.

Monitoring and Reporting on Performance

  • Ensuring appropriate and accurate service statistics and reports are available for the SMT, USDT board and funders as required

  • Accountable for the maintenance and collation of data relating to referrals, hours of service delivery, caseloads, service utilisation etc.

  • Accountable for the analysis and evaluation of the team’s performance information, monitoring and reporting against objectives, outcomes and KPIs

Financial

  • Maintain an overview of all budgets, expenditure and costs within area of responsibility having reasonable control so as to improve overall results

  • Offer suggestions on improvements in reduction of costs and opportunities to increase revenue / funding

  • Ensure that all financial procedures within area of responsibility and as required by legislation and USDT are correctly followed

Service Delivery

  • To provide advice services to the public in line with project guidelines where appropriate

  • To maintain an awareness of those legislative developments, social trends and local needs likely to affect demand for advice and opportunities for service development

Staff

  • Ensure the effective selection and induction of staff and volunteers

  • Ensure staff and volunteers are motivated and managed in accordance with USDT’s  policies, good practice procedures and employment legislation

  • Ensure (where applicable) the annual performance review for staff and volunteers is carried out effectively and in line with USDT  policies and procedures

  • In conjunction with the SMT , staff and volunteers to be proactively involved in the service improvement and development

  • Ensure staff and volunteer development and training needs are identified and met

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the team and USDT

  • Maintain good communication and consultation procedures etc.
