Webinar: What is Good Evidence?

Alliance for Useful Evidence

Alliance for Useful Evidence

Cost: Free

Join this free webinar on the use of formal standards of evidence to effect change.

The webinar will seek to improve people’s confidence to demand and use good quality evidence by: making the case for the use of evidence; providing information on tools that can assist in deciding when evidence is good enough; and highlighting examples of where third sector organisations have successfully used these tools.

Speakers include
Dr Louise Morpeth, Dartington Social Research Unit
Michael O'Donnell, Bond for International Development

We are delighted to be joined by these speakers who will give their experience of developing and using evidence standards. The speakers, from "Dartington Social Research Unit" and "Bond", will provide an overview of standards of evidence: examining evidence principles as well as hierarchies. They will also highlight how the third sector can use these standards, mindful of the need for proportionate evidence of a good standard

In adition, the speakers will address questions such as how to generate buy-in from stakeholders, including small charities and voluntary organisations, and how we can experiment and innovate while still maintaining quality.

The webinar is for charities and third sector organisations; commissioners and providers of public and charitable services seeking to understand greater evidence of impact; charity evaluators; consultants and analysts.
