Trek Kilimanjaro

Cancer Focus Northern Ireland

Cancer Focus Northern Ireland

Trek Kilimanjaro

Join Cancer Focus NI this October and take on the tallest, free standing mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro.

The snowy peak rises to a breath taking 5,895 metres high and  sits wreathed in clouds overlooking East Africa. Climbing through the different vegetation zones and reaching the peak of this natural phenomenon, will leave you with a sense of achievement quite like no other.

Join our team as we take on this challenge on the Machame trail, the most popular of the Kilimanjaro trails. The spectacularly scenic trail starts on the southern side of Kilimanjaro, taking 7 walking days, the trail includes a combination of longer and shorter days to allow for acclimatisation. The descent takes trekkers along the Mweka trail further East.

This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity and also a chance to help people in Northern Ireland living with a cancer diagnosis. Cancer Focus is your local cancer champion, here to help you and your family if you have cancer.  We’ll help your community take positive steps to a healthier life, to lower their risk of cancer and we are determined to bring a more hopeful future by funding ground-breaking research.

With spaces limited for this trek, get in touch now to secure your place.
