Belfast Barge Screening: Titanic
Saturday 14th April, 7.30pm, at The Belfast Barge on Lanyon Quay. Adm £10
The Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF) invites you to join us for a very special movie screening of the 1997 epic ‘Titanic’ on the Belfast Barge moored at Lanyon Quay on the River Lagan. The one-off showing costs £10 and will take place on 14th April 2012, the 100 year anniversary of that ill-fated night in 1912 when the legendary ‘unsinkable’ liner struck an iceberg in the Atlantic and sunk to a watery grave.
Anchored by Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio’s stellar performances as Rose and Jack, this blockbuster romance tells the story of the unlikely meeting of two characters from different worlds who fall in love aboard the ship bound for disaster.
The movie will begin at 7.30pm, but attendees can visit the barge from 6pm to have a look around its extraordinary maritime exhibition. Light refreshments will be provided and all proceeds raised from this event will be used to support cancer patients and their families in Northern Ireland.
