Run Away and Join The Circus

To celebrate 30 years since its foundation, Belfast Community Circus School is offering a unique chance for adults to run away with the circus. A short introduction to circus training will offer the very highest quality training opportunities for grown ups to learn how to juggle, try out trapeze, walk the tightwire and learn how to be part of a human pyramid. At a time of year when many people pay joining fees to gyms only to let them lapse a month later, this is a fun way to fitness at the same time as doing something totally different. Will Chamberlain, a former circus clown and now Director of the Circus School, said: For 30 years Belfast Community Circus School has been giving children and young people the chance to pursue the dream of being part of the circus. This year, to mark our 30th birthday, we are offering that same wonderful experience to grown ups. Whether you want to do it for fun, for fitness, or for performance, this introduction to circus is perfect for all abilities. The classes will be taken by 3 of the leading trainers and performers with the only dedicated Circus School in Ireland. Belfast Community Circus School is based in the Cathedral Quarter, where each year they hold classes for more than 2,000 youngsters. Currently, more than 1,000 children have put their names down on the waiting list for classes. Head Trainer, Paul Quate said: If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to be in the circus, this short course will give you a glimpse into our world. I can’t guarantee that you will be a circus star after 3 lessons, but I do guarantee you will have learnt some circus skills and had a great time into the bargain.
