Banteer Drama Group is an amateur company from Co Cork. The play they have chosen to perform tells the story of Stella and Jack Gay, who share a harmonious relationship in their summer house at Peacehaven, near Banteer. However, when Stella's domineering mother and hen-pecked father descend upon the house, tensions swiftly emerge.

Add to the mix Stella's younger, creative-minded siblings, a smooth-talking horse doctor, a vibrant actress and a maid with a secret, and what ensues is a hilarious combination of rivalries, misunderstandings and secret plotting. The arrival of a piano, some dynamite, an agent and a detective only serve to further heighten the confusion!
