Mental ill-health and its impact on housing
Housing Rights
This course will equip you to help clients with their housing problems that have emanated from their mental ill-health, including defending possession proceedings
Mental ill-health presents a bigger problem in Northern Ireland, compared to other parts of the UK. In the 2013-2014 Northern Ireland Health Survey 19% of respondents showed signs of mental ill health. It can not only have a negative impact on the day-to-day lives of people; it can also put a strain on their housing situation and result in an increased risk of homelessness.
